Eric Greenberg, MD is an internal medicine physician, a personal trainer and Autism Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. Jackie is a registered Nurse, and Autism Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. We have been in the health and fitness profession for over 30 years.
Recently, We have become involved with the field of autism. We have received extensive training in DIRFloortime which is a developmental, relationship based, individualized approach to autism. We will apply this individualized approach to fitness coaching and make exercise a positive and enjoyable part of the lives of our friends with autism.
No two individuals are the same. We have unique bodies, cognitive and expressive and receptive communicative abilities, neuromuscular systems, motor planning abilities, sensory systems, and personal preferences.
At Bethesda Fitness Connection, the coaches build relationships with their friends and design an evolving program to suit the individuals. No two programs are the same. Workouts may vary on a day-to-day basis depending on the client’s state on a given day. Programs are designed to advance the individuals level of fitness in the primary areas of fitness.
